The figures stand motionless, Latcheis on the right representing birth, Clotho on the left, representing life, while Atropos in the centre with open shears stands ready to cut the thread of life.

This tapestry was lent for a period of three months to the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London to celebrate the opening of the Centre by Her Majesty the Queen in June 1984.
